Managing Holiday Stress

The holidays are here and ‘tis the season to be merry! Well, merry until the reality of all the cookies, eggnog, and hors d’oeuvres hit. If you’re entering the holiday season with anxiety concerning those added pounds—fear not! The holidays don’t have to equate with weight gain. It’s quite possible for you to maintain your weight by being more conscious of what and when you eat and by incorporating exercise into your daily routine. It may seem like a contradiction, but taking a little extra time each day to eat properly and exercise will actually help reduce stress, maintain weight, and give you the extra energy to meet the demands of the holidays.

Healthier Restaurant Dining
Did you know that, on average, Americans eat restaurant-prepared meals more than five times a week? Following a healthful diet isn’t always easy at home, but even more challenges await you when you walk through those restaurant doors. With the holidays upon us and the added pressures that accompany this time of year, it’s a good time to revisit challenges and solutions related to healthier restaurant dining.
